Delivery Details

We use a variety of carriers depending on the weight and destination of the parcel. The parcels are clearly labelled with the recipient address and in addition to the personalised message on the box lid or hamper tag, you can include a message on the address label. A signature is required.

Standard delivery
Parcels are delivered three to five working days after ordering. If you wish to order early to avoid disappointment then we are happy to send out orders at a later date. You can either select a named day service, or ring us on 01747 850700 to discuss your requirements. Standard delivery orders received from 5th December will be delivered in time for Christmas.

Named day delivery
Gifts can also be sent out for a specific delivery date – ideal for a birthday or other special occasions. There is no surcharge for this service. You can select a named day delivery for the locations in the Highlands, Islands or overseas, but we are unable to guarantee precise delivery dates in these areas – we would recommend placing your order for delivery at least a day in advance in Highland or Island areas and approximately 5 days in advance for overseas parcels.

Saturday delivery
We can deliver gifts on a Saturday to the UK mainland only, excluding the Highlands, Islands and Overseas. Saturday deliveries are subject to a surcharge of £15.

In time for Christmas
We will deliver your gift before Christmas, typically between the 6th and 22nd December, however we are unable to confirm the specific delivery date.

Highlands and Islands
We do not send fresh food items to Highlands, Islands or overseas addresses as we cannot guarantee to our satisfaction that they will remain cold during the longer travel times.

Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands do not incur an extra charge but may take longer to arrive. Postcodes are AB30-63, DD8-10, FK8, FK17-21, TD15, IV1–39, IV57–63, KW1-14, PH4–17.

Deliveries to the Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly incur a surcharge of £5. Postcodes are PO30-41, TR21-25.

Deliveries to Northern Ireland, The Isle of Man and the Scottish Islands incur a surcharge of £10. Postcodes are BT, IM, KA27-28, PA20-88, IV40-56, KW1-18, ZE, HS, PH17-50.

Deliveries to the Channel Islands incur a surcharge of £15. Postcodes are GY, JE.

BFPO
We do not send parcels to BFPO addresses as we cannot track them or obtain a signature. Unfortunately, our experience has been that gift hampers are not delivered effectively by the BFPO, nor do they arrive in the condition that we would hope for. Consequently, we avoid the potential disappointment by not sending by BFPO.

Worldwide Delivery
We can send hampers to European destinations through our website.

At this time we cannot send hampers to world wide destinations outside Europe, due to the restrictions that some countries place restrictions on food items or alcohol, and it is not possible to track and guarantee deliveries in some parts of the world. Consequently, we do not allow you to select these countries on the website. If you would like to send a hamper to other overseas destinations we are happy to discuss it with you and provide a quotation and advice. Overseas deliveries take a minimum of three days to arrive and we usually allow a week. We cannot guarantee that your named day order will arrive on the selected date. Please call us on 01747 850700 or contact us by email if you would like any further advice.

Loss or Damage
All our parcels are sent on insured, signature services. We guarantee to replace goods damaged in transit providing we are informed within 48 hours of delivery. Damaged goods may be refused on delivery and the carrier will return them. If the damage is not immediately evident they should be retained for inspection and returned at our expense if necessary. We will replace goods lost in transit provided that we are notified within 21 days of the required delivery date.

If nobody’s at home…
If the recipient is not there to receive a parcel then the carrier will leave a card with contact details so that redelivery or collection can be arranged. If you need the parcel to be redelivered to a different address then we will need to arrange this with the carrier, although an extra charge will be incurred. If the carrier doesn't receive a response to the card, they will return the gift to us after five working days. However, they are required to notify us of any parcels that are not delivered so that we can try to resolve the issue before the parcel is returned. During the very busy Christmas period we instruct carriers to leave deliveries in a safe, dry location and put a card through the door to say where the parcel has been left. For fresh food and larger hampers, see below.

Delayed Deliveries
We ask for recipient telephone numbers so that we can contact people directly in the event of a delivery issue. We do our best to check that addresses are valid but we can’t accept responsibility for late delivery of gifts in the event that the address is incomplete or incorrect. We are not responsible for late deliveries due to adverse weather conditions or other causes beyond our reasonable control. We are able to track all UK and most overseas deliveries.

Fresh Food and Larger Hampers
For fresh food gifts and larger hampers, we ask that you try and ensure that someone will be available to receive the gifts on delivery. Large parcels are too vulnerable to leave safely and chilled gifts need to be opened and refrigerated within 36 hours of despatch to ensure that the contents remain safe. We cannot guarantee that they will be kept cool if they are returned to the delivery depots overnight. We do not send fresh food items to Highlands, Islands or Overseas addresses as we cannot guarantee to our satisfaction that they will remain cold during the longer travel times. We do not send out gifts containing fresh food on a Friday.
